Forest Lake Village Fact & Figures
|
Forest Lake Village officially
opened for trade in 1997 and has since grown to become the
leading retail establishment in Forest Lake. The Centre now has
74 tenants, including specialty stores, retail services and
professional services. The Centre currently has a lettable area
of 18,707 square metres.
In September 2001, Trinity Property Trust, a Queensland-based
property investment trust, purchased Forest Lake Village for
$25.66 million, which included a 3.87 hectare vacant site
adjoining the Centre to allow for future expansion.
Excellent traffic figures and continued growth prompted the need
for the Centre to expand its retail space to meet increased
consumer demand.
In December 2004, Trinity Funds Management joined together with
Consolidated Properties to form Trinity Consolidated and on
Tuesday 14th December 2004 the securities were listed on the ASX.
Trinity Property Trust commenced construction of the extension
to Forest Lake Village in August 2003. The $9 million Stage 2
expansion was opened on 24th June 2004 and added 6,052m2 to the
Centre. The third and final stage of the $17 million expansion
began in July 2004 and opened on 14th March 2005, adding 5,120m2
to the Centre. Discount supermarket chain ALDI, the largest of
the new tenancies, is the anchor tenant of the new section.
Family fashion store, Best and Less joined Aldi in the third
stage.
Since 1991, Forest Lake has grown
to a population in excess of 22,000 residents, averaging an
influx of approximately 1,500 new residents per year, proving
that Forest Lake has been one of the most successful planned
residential developments in Australia.
Being a relatively young community, Forest Lake has already
established five schools – three State and two independent.
